This is Alaina Murray’s 5th season with TDC. Originally from Michigan, she received her BA in Dance from Western Michigan University. Alaina has also been working with Open House Dance Collective since 2004 as a choreographer, dancer, and teacher. She performed with Inaside Chicago Dance as a guest artist in 2006. Alaina shares her love of dance with little ballerinas every day at A Fairytale Ballet, a children's ballet and creative movement program. She is the Chicago Regional Director, and manages both the Chicago and Evanston locations.

The Dance COLEctive aspires to challenge assumptions about how dance is presented, through the use of cutting-edge choreography, innovative collaborations, and inspired creative site-specific-works.
