DancersOlivia May
Olivia May is a 2008 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and has spent the past 3 years dancing and teaching here in Chicago. She is now in her third season with The Dance COLEctive and supports her art form by teaching creative young spirits at Starbright Dance and other various dance studios around the city. While at UNCG, she was a member of the UNCG dance team and spent six months in Cape Town, South Africa studying dance at the University of Cape Town Dance School. She had the pleasure of choreographing for her peers in TDC's "COLEctive Notions" concert for the past two seasons and enjoys every minute of dance with The Dance COLEctive.
Our MissionThe Dance COLEctive aspires to challenge assumptions about how dance is presented, through the use of cutting-edge choreography, innovative collaborations, and inspired creative site-specific-works.
